Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate (TKPP)
Product Overview:
CAS #: 7320-34-5
Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate (TKPP) is a functional phosphate compound used across fertilizer, food processing, and metal finishing applications. It is commonly employed as a soluble phosphorus and potassium source in clear liquid fertilizers and specialty foliar and fertigation formulations. Additionally, it serves as an emulsifier and moisture retention agent in processed meat and seafood products, improving texture and reducing cooking loss. TKPP is also utilized as a cleaning and plating bath additive in metal finishing operations, improving deposit quality during electroplating processes. Furthermore, it finds applications as a builder in liquid detergent formulations requiring a soluble potassium pyrophosphate.
