Acrylic Acid Glacial
Product Overview:
CAS #: 79-10-7
Glacial acrylic acid is a highly reactive monomer used extensively in polymer and chemical manufacturing. It is commonly employed as the primary building block for superabsorbent polymers used in hygiene products, as well as acrylic resins used in paints and coatings for their durability and weather resistance. Additionally, it serves as a raw material for adhesives, sealants, and specialty polymer formulations. Acrylic acid is also utilized in industrial water treatment to produce polyacrylate-based scale inhibitors, dispersants, and flocculants that help control mineral fouling in process water systems. Furthermore, it finds applications in textile and leather finishing formulations requiring polymeric binders. It can also be applied to leather and textile coating and lamination processes.
