Xanthan Gum

Product Overview:

CAS #: 11138-66-2

Xanthan gum is a natural polysaccharide produced through microbial fermentation, used across food, oilfield, and general applications. It is commonly employed as a thickener and stabilizer in food and beverage products, providing consistent texture and preventing ingredient separation in sauces, dressings, and gluten-free baked goods. Additionally, it serves as a viscosifier in oilfield drilling fluids, suspending rock cuttings and controlling fluid loss during upstream drilling operations. Xanthan gum is also utilized as a suspending agent in agricultural spray applications, improving the uniformity of pesticide and fertilizer application. Furthermore, it finds applications in general personal care and industrial formulations requiring a natural thickening agent.
